Many HR/HM riffs are played with melody and 5th harmony. It's interesting to make different taste by change 5th harmony higher than melody, or lower than melody.
In this example 5th goes lower than melody. You can hear this sound in "Top Jimmy" by Van Halen.

How to Play

  1. Place ring finger on 5th fret of 4th.This is melody. Place middle finger on 5th fret of 5th.This is harmony.
  2. Pluck 5th and 4th strings,and open 6th strings(left figure).Play twice.
  3. Slide ring and middle finger set to 4th and play, slide to 2th and play(right figure).
